HCA 210 - Introduction to Epidemiology


This course will introduce students to epidemiology provides an analysis of the epidemiologic approach to problems of health and disease. The basic principles and methods of epidemiology are presented in this course. The sections are designed to provide the student with a basic understanding of epidemiologic methods as well as study the design and the place of epidemiology in preventive and clinical medicine.

The learning outcomes of this course are:

  • Understanding Epidemiology and the approaches
  • Discussing problems and barriers to care
  • Understanding and discussing the basic methods of epidemiologic study

Pre-Requisites: HCA 104, HCA 105, HCA 110
