This course is designed as a survey of significant contemporary issues in health law. It highlights case study learning. The main objective is to teach students to think just enough like a lawyer to work through problems with legal features. This course contains only general information, which will have to be applied carefully to specific situations. This information does not replace professional advice where the situation recommends it.

- Understanding the basic laws about health care
- Discussing basic legal health care issues
- Knowing and understanding what to do when faced with a legal health care issue
