HCA 330 - Risk Management and Safety in Health Services

 

This course is designed to introduce students to risk management concepts. The course provides a thorough introduction to health-care risk management as it should be practiced in health-care environments. It is discussed aspects that effect the direct care providers, supervisors and managers, executives, patient representatives, quality managers, patient safety officers, and risk managers.

The learning outcomes of this course are:

  • Identifying risk management issues in health services
  • Understanding how to manage risk in health services
  • Understanding the risks associated with health services
  • Discussing possible solutions to management risks issues

Pre-Requisites: HCA 210, HCA 250
