ICTM 629 - E-Commerce Systems & Protocols

 

This course discusses the conduct of business online and how to manage the technical issues associated with constructing an e-commerce Web site. You will learn about the similarities and differences between traditional and electronic commerce, and you will explore e-commerce technologies at various levels of sophistication.

The learning outcomes of this course are:

  • Describing an example of system architecture for an e-Business
  • Listing the seven major elements of web design
  • Identifying and explaining fundamental web site tools including design tools, programming tools, and data processing tools
  • Identifying the major electronic payment issues and options
