Ideas to Explore your Career Interests
- Meet with a career advisor to discuss your interests, explore possibilities, and make an action plan to pursue a compatible major or career.
- Explore your personality, interests and values using a career assessment such as Sokanu.
- Research career options and possibilities by browsing Career One Stop or What Can I Do With This Major.
- Conduct an informational interview or job shadow to learn more about a career field you are considering.
- Test out your interests through experiential learning activities such as graduate research, service-learning, internships, part-time jobs, clubs and organizations, volunteering and leadership activities.
